Martin Conaghan and Will Pickering will be at the Edinburgh Central Library in the Edinburgh Room on the 28th January presenting a talk on Burke & Hare, the history of the serial killers and the production of the new Graphic Novel from Insomnia Publications bio-graphic novel imprint, Vigil.

After the talk, there will be a siging session of the book where guests can talk with the creators.

Thought Bubble

Insomnia will be attending the annual Thought Bubble event in Leeds on the 21st November.

Two unique competitions will be running from the Insomnia stand:

BICS will see the launch of Burke and Hare (first of the Vigil books) by Martin Conaghan and Will Pickering, Buskers (con special edition with a DVD) by Jeymes Samuel, Sean Michael Wilson and Michiru Morikawa (who has a panel and talk at the show) and finally, MILK by Stref (limited ed hardback will be available at the con).

MILK Exhibition

The Fine Art Gallery at the Edinburgh Central Library will be hosting an Exhibition of Insomnia Publications “MILK”, created by Stref, from the 4th to the 30th of September.

There will be the opportunity to buy some of the original artwork during the course of the show, although, of course, you won’t be able to take it home until the exhibition has ended.

The gallery is open open 10-8 Mon- Thurs, 10-5 Fridays and 9-1 on Sat.

Original artwork from the book along with a look at Stref’s past work will be on display and exclusive limited editions of MILK will be available.

Belfast Feile

Stephen Downey (Cancertown Artist) will be at Westcourt Centre, 8-30 Barrack Street on the 3rd to the 14th of August taking part in a local art exhibition and showing off a few pages of Cancertown.

He will also be running Irish music workshops on the morning of Saturday 8th.

Essex Library Tour

He will be running workshops including exploring ”what is a comic?”, “how comics differ from illustration and prose”, and “illustrating comics”.

Oxfam Comics Fest

Managing Director, Crawford Coutts will be attending the Oxfam Comics event on:
